Graduate students who join the Tennessee Reading Research Center team work toward an advanced degree in special education; literacy; or evaluation, statistics, and methodology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville while gaining real-world experience working for one of the leading reading research centers in the United States.

Ph.D. in Special Education or Literacy Studies
Students study at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences in Special Education or Literacy Studies and work at the TRRC:
Possible Responsibilities:
- Assist with designing intervention study materials
- Conduct literature searches
- Gather and compile data
- Support the TRRC research team
Applications to thePh.D. in Special Education or the Ph.D. in Literacy Studies program for fall semester are due February 1 for domestic students and international students. Further information on application deadlines can be found by contacting graduate admissions.
STATISTICS TEAM POSITIONS
Ph.D. in Evaluation, Statistics, and Methodology
Students study at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and work at the TRRC.
Possible Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and analyses of research and evaluation projects
- Assist with compiling, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets
- Collaborate with the TRRC content team
