Postdoctoral and Visiting Scholars

For those who have completed their doctoral studies or who are considering a research sabbatical in fields relevant to the work of the Tennessee Reading Research Center (special education, literacy, communication sciences and disorders, cognitive psychology, school psychology, educational measurement, or statistics) a postdoctoral position can provide important opportunities to gain research experience. Depending on their skills and preparation, our post doctoral and visiting scholars will support funded research projects that might include:

  • Developing and testing literacy interventions
  • Measuring students’ and teachers’ improvement
  • Developing assessments of literacy skills and knowledge
  • Meta-analyzing literacy studies
  • Evaluating implementation of literacy programs or initiatives
  • Developing new statistical methods for analyzing student and teacher data

In addition, post doctoral and visiting scholars are expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to writing grant proposals.

Continue your training in literacy or special education by working at the TRRC.

Possible Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate literacy research studies
  • Take a lead role in preparing content for literacy interventions or assessments
  • Author manuscripts with the TRRC team

STATISTICS TEAM POSITIONS

Continue your training in evaluation, statistics, and methodology by working at the TRRC.
