As part of the Tennessee Literacy Success Act, our partners at the Tennessee Department of Education commissioned us to review the four most commonly adopted high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) in Tennessee and their alignment with research on phonological awareness and word reading instruction in Grades K–1. These findings have been gathered in a report and infographic led by TRRC fellow Dr. Marianne Rice and co-authored by TRRC director Dr. Deborah Reed.
