Adult Literacy Lead

Biography

Dr. Hall is the adult literacy lead at the Tennessee Reading Research Center. Her research interests include the development of literacy skills among adolescents and adults with low-literacy skills, implementing effective literacy interventions, increasing student engagement, and building effective adult literacy programs. Prior to joining the TRRC, Dr. Hall spent over 20 years in various educational and research settings working with adolescents and adults with reading difficulties, including directing a large community-based adult literacy program for over nine years. At the TRRC, Dr. Hall leads adult literacy and workforce development initiatives and supports the center’s literacy research, including Project LIBERATE.
